‘Dusk’ at St. Elmo Firehall

Before our show at the beautiful St. Elmo Firehall (http://www.stelmofirehall.com/) in Chattanooga, TN, we took advantage of the great acoustics of the building to record this video of a new song called ‘Dusk.’

True Lemon Tour Sponsorship!!

Photobucket

I am super excited to announce that “The Great VW Camper Van Tour” has just become The Great VW Camper Van “LIVE TRUE TOUR” thanks to a tour sponsorship from True Lemon!

We’re really excited to be associated with this rad product:  True Lemon is a  100% natural product: cold-pressed and crystallized lemon, lime and orange for water, teas and recipes.  I became obsessed with it this past fall and winter when I was still at my desk job this winter fighting a killer New York City cold.  Now I use it all the time on the road to stay hydrated and try to keep body and voice healthy for constant travel and singing night after night!

True Lemon’s mantra is ‘Live True’ and they strive to help people live their truest, fullest, and healthiest life.  I am thrilled that they have chosen to help keep our VW Camper Van on the road by sponsoring this adventure we are on to live our truest lives.  Please FRIEND, FOLLOW and CHECK OUT this amazing company who supports independent music!

If you’re on Twitter, please help me thank @truelemon for supporting the @kelleymcrae LIVE TRUE TOUR!

2 Months, 8,400 Miles and 37 Shows!

I’m proud to say that The Great VW Camper Van Tour has just hit it’s 2 month mark with 8,400 miles and 37 shows!  It has been an amazing journey so far and I’m really thankful for all the folks out there who have helped make it happen.  We have encountered incredible generosity and hospitality everywhere we’ve gone and this past week was no different with shows in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Starkville, MS.

This pic is from a great show in an cool old brick building in downtown Knoxville, TN.  This is us singing Lauris’s song, ‘Movin’ In,’ which I LOVE to sing.  It has a rad line that says “There’s only one way, one way to live: With all of your heart and soul.”  It’s a joyful, country rocker and it’s super fun to belt those lyrics out.  I recommend purchasing the album HERE and trying it yourself!

In Chattanooga we played in the newly restored St. Elmo Fire Hall which had freakin’ amazing acoustics and a seriously fired up crowd.  It was one of the best shows of the tour.  It was our last show with Lauris and a great way to end our time together- with a standing ovation and a super fun night!

Matt was a rockstar and basically drove us all night to get from Chattanooga to Starkville, MS where we had a show at The Cotton District Arts Festival the next morning.  Here’s the view from the stage before our show.  It was really fun to play to my hometown crowd.  After the show we took a nap and then headed back to the festival to eat corn dogs, drink lemonade and listen to the rad headliner, Paul Thorn.

Awesome Bonus pic:  Taken while driving through Ft. Payne, Alabama.  We couldn’t help ourselves.
